Clemson Tea Farm is a working tea farm dedicated to growing Camellia sinensis, stewarding the land with wisdom and care, and sharing what we learn along the way. We believe good tea begins long before the kettle—with healthy soil, thoughtful observation, faithful stewardship, and a willingness to keep learning. Whether you're here to deepen your understanding of tea, regenerative farming, or life on a small working farm, we're glad you've joined us on the journey.
Experience life on a working tea farm through volunteering or the WWOOF program. Clemson Tea Farm is not a public attraction yet, nor a tour destination. Instead, we welcome individuals who want to learn by working alongside us as we grow Camellia sinensis, steward the land, and care for the many living systems that make the farm thrive.
Depending on the season, volunteers and WWOOFers may help plant and care for tea, harvest leaves, mulch, prune, tend chickens, support the gardens, preserve the harvest, process tea, or assist with the everyday work that keeps a small farm growing. No two days are exactly alike because farming follows the rhythms of weather, plants, and the seasons.
We believe the best way to learn is by doing. Along the way, we share not only how we farm, but why we make the decisions we do—from observing the landscape and building healthy soil to growing exceptional tea with thoughtful stewardship.
If you're curious about tea, regenerative agriculture, permaculture, or life on a small working farm, we'd love to hear from you.
Volunteer and WWOOF opportunities are available by application and advance arrangement only.

The Tea Garden
Tea is at the heart of Clemson Tea Farm. We grow Camellia sinensis while continually learning how it responds to the soils, climate, and seasons of the South Carolina Upstate.
Our tea is grown using regenerative principles that include companion planting, compost, cover crops, thoughtful water management, and careful observation. Every season teaches us something new, and we share those discoveries through our Farm Journal, educational resources, and volunteer and WWOOF programs.

Tea Processing
Turning freshly harvested tea leaves into finished tea is both an art and a science. Depending on the style of tea being produced, leaves may be carefully withered, rolled, oxidized, and dried to develop their unique aroma, flavor, and character.
At Clemson Tea Farm, we continue to study and refine these traditional processes as we learn what works best for tea grown in the South Carolina Upstate. Throughout the year, we share our discoveries through our Farm Journal, educational resources, and tea classes.

Beyond the tea garden
Clemson Tea Farm is home to a growing collection of fruit trees, berry plants, herbs, and companion plantings that contribute to the health and diversity of the farm. These plantings help support pollinators, improve soil health, provide seasonal harvests, and create a resilient growing system.
As the farm continues to grow, we share what we're learning about regenerative stewardship, permaculture principles, and cultivating productive, beautiful landscapes through our Farm Journal and educational resources.

Regenerative Farming in Practice
At Clemson Tea Farm, we believe healthy tea begins with healthy soil. Our approach combines regenerative principles with careful observation to build a more resilient and productive landscape over time.
We use practices such as composting, cover crops, companion planting, mulching, and thoughtful soil management to improve soil health, support biodiversity, conserve water, and care for the land. Every season offers new opportunities to observe, learn, and refine our methods as we work toward leaving the farm healthier for future generations.

Shop Local
Bring home a little of Clemson Tea Farm. Our shop features seasonal, small-batch products produced right here on the farm, including handcrafted Camellia sinensis tea, honey, free-range eggs, and other farm offerings as they become available.
Because we work with the rhythms of nature, availability changes throughout the year. Visit our shop to see what's currently in season and ready to enjoy. Then schudule a pick up time.
